I feel like a nerd
I think I may have just usurped every other nerd shopping trip I ever made in one afternoon. First, I hit the HK Supermarket on Ohlen to get some Japanese Snacks for my friends and foes in the Buckeye state who are of insufficient promulence to even be aware of the infinite goodness that Glico-san provides. Then, it was off to Whole Foods for some type of wrapped subsistence and a 16oz cup of their infinitely excellent house blend coffee. After that, I went into Fry's with the intention of finally getting an external drive so I can back up my RAID array into an undisclosed location. So, I laid down some serious cheddar on a newly released 500GB Maxtor USB2/Firewire 400 drive. I didn't even know they were making those yet. I priced a bunch of stuff on Newegg before letting teh Fry's give me the business. In addition, I got another SATA 250GB drive for my machine running Mr. G's OS. I'm about to undertake a massive rebuilding of my home network (again). I'm shipping two machines off to Ohio and another to Dallas early next year for Bind, MX, and Apache piece-of-mind (having all your data in one state == bad idea). I have some of my more critical data backed up in Minnesota as well. So, as of next year, my site will be thrice redundant in three different zip codes. Allegedly, I'm supposed to setup reciprocal Bind peering with another local h4x0rs subnet in Austin which would give me an additional zip code of reliability to boast.
